Biography

Mr. Wallace is a native of Birmingham, where he was born in 1954. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1976 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Mr. Wallace then attended the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating in 1979. While attending the University, Mr. Wallace was selected for membership in Jasons and Omicron Delta Kappa honoraries. He also served as President of the Student Government Association. Following graduation, Mr. Wallace was employed as an associate with the Birmingham law firm of Denaburg, Schoel, Meyerson and Ogle for three years. In 1981, Mr. Wallace left that firm and established an individual practice which he continued until 1983, when he became a partner in the firm of Seier, Johnston and Wallace, where he remained until the formation of Wallace, Jordan, Ratliff & Brandt, L.L.C.

For almost twenty years, Mr. Wallace's practice included all aspects of civil litigation with primary emphasis in the areas of insurance and corporate defense and construction litigation. For the past several years, Mr. Wallace's practice has concentrated in the areas of alternate dispute resolution, mergers and acquisitions, and complex negotiations. During 1993 and 1994, Mr. Wallace served as District Governor for Rotary International, District 6860, covering the northern part of Alabama. Mr. Wallace is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Birmingham Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Wallace is a certified mediator with the American Arbitration Association.
